 General
This outdoor oil immersed type current transformer used in 15kV, 17.5kV, 20kV, 22kV and 24kV power system, for measuring and protection.
It has been used in outdoor pole mounted and transmission line.
The current transformer is made from high quality transformer oil, amorphous alloy core for metering and high quality CRGO core for protection, primary and secondary use pure electrolytic copper, both winding and core have shielding

Standard
All UNISUN Electric instrument transformers are in conformity with IEC standards, and recommendations IEC 61869. Transformers in conformity with specific country standards can also be supplied. (IEEE C57.13, NBR6855).

Main Structure

A current transformer (CT) primarily consists of five major components: the iron core, the primary winding, the secondary winding, the insulation system, the housing, and the terminals. These components work together to achieve current transformation and electrical isolation.

Primary winding

 

High electrolytic copper is used as primary winding, silver base welding material is used at the welding place, and semiconductor shielded paper is wrapped to ensure that the partial discharge tseting data is qualified.  

Secondary winding

 

Large capacity design secondary winding, automatic winding, high insulation and high purity enameled wire, to ensure wide capacity output under standard accuracy.

Reliable operation and long maintenance-free intervals

With mature technology and proper sealing, the service life can reach 20 to 30 years, making it suitable for unmanned outdoor stations.

Sealed to prevent moisture ingress and resist flashover

Equipped with porcelain bushings or composite silicone rubber bushings + oil-filled cabinets for moisture protection, suitable for high-humidity, coastal, and heavily polluted areas; offers superior resistance to pollution flashovers compared to open-type or cast-resin products.

Excellent heat dissipation and high overload capacity

Oil-circulation cooling allows the motor to handle higher rated currents and short-term overloads, and temperature rise is easily controlled.

Excellent weather resistance and anti-aging properties

Fully sealed metal tank + insulation oil immersion, eliminating the effects of UV rays, rain, and condensation. It is resistant to aging and cracking during long-term outdoor operation, outperforming resin-cast CTs in terms of aging issues caused by sun exposure and rain.
