 General
This indoor dry type current transformer is used in 3.3kV, 6kV, 10kV, 11kV, 12.5kV and 13.8kV power system, for measuring and protection.
It has been used in cubicle switchgear or in bay-installed switching stations.
The current transformer is made from high temperature indoor epoxy resin, amorphous alloy core for metering and high quality CRGO core for protection, primary and secondary use pure electrolytic copper, both winding and core have shielding processing.

Standards
All UNISUN Electric instrument transformers are in conformity with IEC standards, and recommendations IEC 61869. Transformers in conformity with specific country standards can also be supplied. (IEEE C57.13, NBR6855).

Main Structure

A current transformer (CT) primarily consists of five major components: the iron core, the primary winding, the secondary winding, the insulation system, the housing, and the terminals. These components work together to achieve current transformation and electrical isolation.

Primary winding

 

High electrolytic copper is used as primary winding, silver base welding material is used at the welding place, and semiconductor shielded paper is wrapped to ensure that the partial discharge tseting data is qualified.  

Secondary winding

 

Large capacity design secondary winding, automatic winding, high insulation and high purity enameled wire, to ensure wide capacity output under standard accuracy.

Compact design, saving space inside the cabine

Busbar-type / through-type models can be directly mounted on the busbars of the switchgear cabinet, eliminating the need for primary terminals and additional primary wiring

Available in ring or square epoxy resin encapsulation for minimal footprint

Safety Non-flammable, oil-free, and gas-free

Encapsulated in epoxy resin via vacuum casting or plastic molding, the product is flame-retardant, non-explosive, and poses no risk of oil leakage, meeting indoor power distribution safety requirements.

Virtually Maintenance-Free

Fully enclosed design, moisture- and dust-resistant; requires virtually no maintenance under normal indoor conditions; designed for a service life of over 20 years.

Lightweight and low-cost

 No oil tank, porcelain bushings, or single-layer conductors; low manufacturing and installation costs; suitable for large-scale deployment in low-voltage circuits
