Overview

Key Strengths

The combination of CTs and PTs (also known as: combined transformers / high-voltage combined metering boxes / TV+TA metering units) typically refers to the integration of current transformers (CTs) and voltage transformers (PTs) within a single enclosure or

the same set of metering cabinets, working in conjunction with an electricity meter to form a complete high-voltage electricity metering system.

Why Buy From Us

  • Certified to international quality standards; core components meet the standards.
  • Easy payment and affordable prices.
  • Easy to use and excellent service

Primary winding of CT

High electrolytic copper is used as primary winding, silver base welding material is used at the welding place, and semiconductor shielded paper is wrapped to ensure that the partial discharge tseting data is qualified.

 Secondary winding of CT

Large capacity design secondary winding, automatic winding, high insulation and high purity enameled wire, to ensure wide capacity output under standard accuracy.

PT Core

Imported silicon steel sheet made of PT core, high quality insulation tape, high quality compression sponge, to ensure that resin shrinkage does not affect the performance of PT core, secondary use of high purity enameled wire.

Primary winding of PT

Mechanized winding secondary winding, all wire uses high purity copper enameled wire, each layer uses high quality insulating paper, to ensure that the layer withstand voltage qualified, to ensure the stability of partial discharge test.

Quick Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions About the Integration of CT and PT

Q1:Why integrate cT and PT?

A: It simultaneously provides voltage and current signals to enable comprehensive electricity metering; its integrated design saves space, ensures good error matching, and facilitates sealing to prevent electricity theft, thereby meeting metering regulations.

A:Modular = Same enclosure, factory-calibrated as a single unit, minimal cumulative error, easy to manage
Discrete = Flexible layout, but requires more wiring, errors must be considered individually, and takes up more space.

A:
* High-voltage meter panels are primarily used for commercial metering (high accuracy: 0.2S/0.2 class).
* If they are also used for protection, the protection class (e.g., 3P/6P) must be specified; however, protection and metering CTs/PTs are typically configured separately.

A:

* CT secondary windings must never be left open-circuited (this will generate dangerous high voltage)

* Never short-circuit the secondary side of a PT (this will burn out the windings)

* Must be reliably grounded (typically, the PT secondary neutral (N) and the CT secondary K₂ are grounded)

A:

*Metering: CT 02S/0.5S, PT 0.2/0.5

*Protection: CT 5P10/5P20, PT 3P/6P
Metering panels are generally configured according to metering accuracy.
